They work to place people in programs such as supportive living, Madoona House or Horizon Village as they do realize it takes more than a 30 day program to really kick this disease. The staff works very hard to get the recovering addict to continue on to a longer term treatment program at the end of their 30 days at Clearview. We learned more from these meetings then we ever knew before, they are a great feature of this program. After this meeting there is a long (about 2 hours but the food is great in the cafeteria) lunch break then an afternoon session just for the patients who have loved ones present. There are four different themes to these meetings with topics such as enabling and co-dependence.

I don't know why they don't start it earlier so it lasts the full hour, it is a great meeting.īut the best meetings are Saturdays. The only bad thing about the meetings is they are scheduled to end at 7:30PM but the patients go to a meeting around 7:15 so these meeting always ends early. A lot can be learned during these meetings. The meetings last about 45 minutes and there is some excellent group discussions between patients and their guests. On Wednesdays the meetings are only for the patients who have loved ones show up. These meetings occur on Wednesdays and Saturdays. What we thought was the best aspect of Clearview was their family counseling meetings. They choose who stays back with a drawing which seems kind of silly that it's not based on the patients actions. One bad point, they only have transportation for 16 people so 4 people must stay back. Primary Treatment Program Our Primary Program is a 30-day residential program based on the 12-step Model of Treatment. The patients get a lot of counseling during the day, plus they travel to a lot of meetings in the area at night. Clearview contracts with a psychiatrist to treat patients with depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorders and other conditions. The counsolers are very good (but the male counsolers seemed to be the best). They have room for 20 patients, it is a co-ed facility.
